Meet Raven

Ron’s black Labrador retriever, Raven, happily accompanies him on many of his outdoor adventures. Known for her trademark red bandana, she stars with Ron in Minnesota Bound and Backroads with Ron and Raven.

Raven was born on July 11, 1998. Her full name is Raven's Rum Rio and she has had one litter of puppies. She's the star of Minnesota Bound, " ...and I think she knows it" says Ron.

Raven is part of the Schara family - Ron Schara, Denise Schara, Simone Gonse, and Laura Schara. She was a female puppy from the original Raven that Ron decided to keep to carry on the legacy of Ron & Raven.

Raven’s favorite toy is her frisbee. Raven can also do the famous “cookie on the nose” trick like her mother, but she's still learning not to drop it! Raven also was trained at Tom Dokken’s Kennel, along with Hoosier and 3-4 other of her siblings.

Raven cocks her head and also loves the water. Ron says Raven is an excellent hunter. He says she’s always hunting - hunting frogs and toads in the backyard, and at the state fair you can see her nipping at flies or bees in the air.
